First Legal Marijuana Available in Washington on July 8

One of the state’s licensed marijuana processors, Kouchlock Prod. in Spokane has their strains tested by 360 Analytical.

Reecreational marijuana stores in Washington State will open their doors on July 8. A list of 24 stores licensed by the state to sell marijuana is posted here.

One of the licensed processors, Kouchlock Productions in Spokane (1919 E. Francis St.), had their strains tested at Analytical 360 (see report below).

Eighteen strains tested by Analytical 360 will be avaialble at Kouchlock Productions in Spokane on July 8.

Mark Kleiman, who was hired by Washington to consult on the state's plans to roll out recreational marijuana stores, tells CelebStoner: "By contrast with Colorado, Washington has taken the slow road to opening retail outlets, partly because there wasn't an existing group of licensed medical outlets that could be 'grandfathered' into commercial outlets. Time will tell which course of action was wiser, but after 80 years of cannabis prohibition it hardly matters whether commercial availability has to wait an additional few months."

While Washington and Colorado both voted to legalize marijuana in 2012, Colorado was the first to open regulated stores, which began Jan. 1.
