Brad Pitt
Brad Pitt has had a long history with marijuana. He reportedly smoked throughout his marriage to Jennifer Aniston from 2000-2005. Angelina Jolie, who he met during the filming of Mr. and Mrs. Smith in 2005, has blamed Aniston for Pitt's pot use "since the bulk of his drug-taking days were when he was with her."
Pitt sparked a cannabis controversy in 2009 when he stated: "I liked to smoke a bit of grass at the time, and I became very sheltered. Then I got bored. I was turning into a damn doughnut, really. So I moved as far away from that as I could. I was done."
In his book 9021Grow: The Story of Hollywood's Wizard of Weed, Craig X Rubin says Pitt used to frequent his head shop 2000 BC and that "It was no secret Brad liked to smoke pot. He was so open and honest about it. He came in once and was excited about smoking with one of his very big-name co-stars. 'We blaze every day in his trailer,' Brad boasted. He had a huge grin on his face."
It was also no secret to Bill Maher, who mentioned Pitt's ability to roll perfect joints on Real Time. "I'm an artist," Pitt cooly responded.
Rumored to be running for mayor of New Orleans, Pitt joked, "I'm running on the gay marriage, no religion, legalization and taxation of marijuana platform. I don't have a chance"
During their trip to France to promote Inglorious Basterds, director Quentin Tarantino revealed that Pitt "takes this brick of hash, whips out a knife like Jesse James and cuts me off a big slither. I go, 'Do you have a pipe to go with this?' And he handed me a Coke can!"
Pitt famously smokes out of a honey-bear bong in True Romance. "Wanna hit?" he offers to several angry mobsters who've barged into his house. He almost gets whacked.
Pitt was born on Dec. 18, 1963 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He first gained notoriety as the drifter in Thelma & Louise and has since appeared in True Romance, Legends of the Fall, Seven, 12 Monkeys, Fight Club, Snatch, Ocean's Eleven, Ocean's Twelve, Babel, Ocean's Thirteen, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Inglorious Basterds,The Tree of Life, Moneyball and Killing Them Softly.
He was nominated for an Oscar for his starring role as Billy Beane in Moneyball (Jonah Hill also received an Oscar nom for his supporting role in the baseball flick).
Pitt recently called the War on Drugs "nonensical," "flawed," "backwards" and a "charade."
He and Jolie have six children. They are engaged.
