Twenty years ago, Slightly Stoopid was born out of the ashes of Sublime, who'd signed them to their Skunk Records label shortly before Sublime frontman Brad Nowell died of a drug overdose in 1996. A song Nowell worked on with Stoopid's Miles Doughty, who was 16 years old at the time, has popped up on their new album.
Sublime's version of "The Prophet" appeared on Everything Under the Sun following Nowell's death. Now, it's finally on a Stoopid record - their recently released eight studio album, Meanwhile… Back at the Lab. Watch the video, featuring clips of Nowell and Doughty working on the song, above.
