Former junkie Billy Idol likes to medicate with marijuana these days. Lots of it.
Idol: 'I like smoking pot. I still smoke tons of pot.'
During a tour of New York's Washington Park with CBS News, idol reminisces about his days scoring dope and crack there. "I don't do coke or any heroin or anything like that," he says now. "I actually got caught here in a police sting when I was addicted to crack."
In 2013, Idol revealed he smoked pot when he underwent a "chemical therapy of a year. The only thing that helped me get through it was having access and use of medical cannabis."
Idol's latest album, Kings & Queens of the Underground, is due out Oct. 21. His autobiography, Dancing with Myself, was released on Oct. 7.
