Tommy Chong returned to Dancing With the Stars for Week 8 on Nov. 3, performing "Ring of Fire" with Peta Murgatroyd as Johnny Cash and June Carter. They earned a 28-point score, two less than last week, and moved on to Week 9.
For Week 8, the theme was Dynamic Duos. Chong has knee and calf woes and noted that he can't use his "favorite painkiller." He dressed in a black outlaw outfit and Peta wore a red skirt and slinky top. For the dance-off with Michael Waltrip and Emma Slater, they changed into purple outfits (Tommy in purple shirt and black slacks). They won the rumba competition.
At the end, the axe fell on Waltrip and Slater. At 76, Chong is the oldest celebrity to get this far on "DWTS."
