Bill Maher on selling marijuana during his college years at Cornell in the '70s:
"I became a pot dealer because I couldn't afford to buy pot. I never smoked pot in high school. I went off to college. I started to smoke pot. I couldn't afford it. It was like well, I could afford it if I sell it.
'You buy a pound, which is 16 ounces, and then you divide it into 17 parts. The part for me we would call the head tax.'
"Selling pot allowed me to get through college and make enough money to start off in comedy."
