When Jimmy Kimmel asked Bernie Sanders the marijuana question on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Oct. 21, the Senator didn't flinch.
Kimmel: "What is your stance on marijuana?"
Sanders: "Here's my stance: This is a really serious issue. We have more people in jail today than any other country on Earth. We have large numbers of lives that have been destroyed because of this War on Drugs and because people were caught smoking marijuana and so forth. I think we've to got to end the War on Drugs and look into what's going on in Colorado and elsewhere.
'I am not unfavorably disposed to moving towards the legalization of marijuana.'
Kimmel: "Would you be open to the idea of maybe having postal carriers deliver marijuana to people?"
Sanders: "That will get rid of the federal deficit pretty quickly, wouldn't it?"
