"Why would make do something like put a pineapple mask on your head and sing I Will Survive?" host Nick Cannon asked Tommy Chong after he did just that on Fox's new hit show The Masked Singer.
"Anything to get on stage," the Chong comedian replied.
The idea of the show is celebrity guests wear eleabotate masks and croon familer tunes. A panel of judges - Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke - have to figure it out.
After Chong's brief pineapple head performance, McCarthy came closest when she guessed "Cheech" (for Chong's comedy partner Cheech Marin).
Other "reveals" include Margaret Cho (poodle), Terry Bradshaw (deer) and Pittsbugh Steeler Antonio Brown (hippo)
The Masked Singer originated in South Korea in 2015 and has been franchised in China, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and now the U.S. It airs Wednesdays at 9 pm ET/8 pm CT on Fox.
