Method Man Launches First Socially Conscious Celebrity Cannabis Brand

Hip-hop star Method Man has joined other celebrities with cannabis brands, but he's taking a different approach. His line of Tical Official pot products are only being sold at "black owned and socially conscious dispensaries."

Right now, four California stores - Berner's in the Haight, Blunts+Moore, Empire and Litco - are stocking four flower strains cultivated by Clone Guy Industries in partnership with Tical Official.

Meth issued the following statement:

“Personally, it is essential that we use our brand to help bring awareness to the social, systemic and economic injustice in communities that have struggled with oppressive mass incarceration and racially biased policing policies."

The four strains are:

Cake

Gelato

OG

Punch

Method Man rose to fame in the '90s as one of the leading voices in the highly regarded Wu Tang Clan. Tical is his slang terms for weed. It's an acronym for Taking Into Consideration All Lives. It's the title and lead track of Meth's solo album in 1994.

Meth co-starred with Redman in How High in 2001 and has appeared in numerous other movies and TV shows. He and Redman are both Top CelebStoners.
