Legendary New York rapper Rakim has joined other hip-hop artists with his own cannabis brand, Higher Frequency Flower. The company will debut its unique product line on June 24, from 12-4 pm at the Josephine and Billie's smoking lounge (1535 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.) in Los Angeles. Higher Frequency Flowers is distributed by the Black Market Group.
“Higher Frequency Flower was developed to assist artists and deep thinkers as they explore and expand the universal connections that form the foundation of their creative process," Rakim (nee William Griffin Jr.) commented in a press release. "We're curating each of our strains and introducing new techniques and technology that will lead the way to the next level of cannabis cultivation."
The Higher Frequency Soul Flower Collection offers five options: from 174 Hz (Relax + Relieve) to 963 Hz (Oneness + Awareness). According to the website, the product line "explores the expansive effects of five universal frequencies, and curates specially selected genetics to amplify each tone’s vibrational energy." Josephine and Billie's is the first shop to carry this unique collection.
Straight outta Queens, New York, Eric B. & Rakim were a hot hip-hop duo in the late '80s and early '90s before breaking up after releasing just four albums. They had hits with "Paid in Full," "Follow the Leader" and "Don't Sweat the Technigue" (watch below).
