Republican presidential hopeful Sen. Rand Paul stuck his foot in his mouth again during a conversation about pot, which he said, along with other drugs, "aren't good for you. I don't want to be someone who is seen as being this person advocating for drug use. I think they're not a good idea."
This is consistent with previous comments he's made about marijuana:
July 12, 2013: "People that use it chronically have a loss of IQ and a loss of ambition."
June 4, 2013: "I think people who use marijuana all the time lose their drive to show up for work."
April 10, 2013: "If you use it too much you'll eat too many Doritos."
About his own pot use, Paul said in the latest interview, "Let's just say I wasn't a choir boy when I was in college and that I can recognize that kids make mistakes, and I can say that I made mistakes when I was a kid... I have a great deal of personal sympathy for people who have made mistakes as a young person."
On the other hand, the Kentucky Senator recently told Bill Maher: "I want to end the War on Drugs because it's wrong for everybody, but particularly because poor people are caught up in this and their lives are ruined by it."
Hey Republicans - would you vote for Ran Paul for President if he ran in the 2016 primaries?
