1. Oregon, Alaska and Washington, DC Legalize It!
This year proved that marijuana legalization wasn't a fluke. Joining Colorado and Washington, Oregon and Alaska became the third and fourth states to pass ballot initiatives that direct the government to stop arresting users in possession of personal amounts and to create a commercial, regulated and taxed market for the sale of cannabis products. In addition, Washington, DC became the largest U.S. city to also legalize it, though Congress is hoping to block it. We'll see how that plays out in 2015. Most likely it will take until 2016 for more states to climb aboard the legalization train. Toot too!
