The Campaign to Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol in Alaska has unveiled an ad blitz on buses to remind people to vote Yes on Measure 2. The MPP is funding the campaign to the tune of $350,000 so far.
In two polls we conducted over the last 10 days, the word "weed" topped "pot," "cannabis" and "herb" when people were asked what's the their favorite name for marijuana.
We've narrowed down the list of names to a dozen favorites. Please vote for your favorite term.
The Liquor Control Board issued licenses to 24 stores, a few of which started selling marijuana to adult users the week of July 7. Many stores, however, including Seattle's Cannabis City, have since run out of weed.
