The marijuana legalization troops were out in force on Boston Common on Sept. 26-27 for the 26th Annual Freedom Rally, sponsored by MassCann/NORML.
Bands and speakers rocked two stages, starting at high noon. Saturday's lineup included back-to-back performances by reggae acts Tosh 1 (son of Peter Tosh, who was joined by his four daughters on stage), Soulshots (featuring members of the Skatalites) and Duppy Conquerors on the Main Stage.
Speakers included Dr. Lester Grinsppon, who recalled how Carl Sagan first got him stoned; NORML's Keith Stroup, Bay State Repeal's Steve Epstein, The Campaign's Dick Evans, 4Front's Kris Krane, CelebStoner's Steve Bloom and Oregon attorney Lee Berger. High Times' Rick Cusick led the 4:20 Countdowm.
Whereas Saturday was an eight-hour affair, Sunday's rally will ran from 12-6 pm.
