Turn the word OIL in caps upside down and you've got 710, the date for the latest stoner holiday. You know about 420. Well, 7/10 is National Dab Day.
Dabs are hits of concentrated cannabis. That's why most retailers will be discounting vape carts containing oil and other sticky products like diamonds, butter, wax and shatter.
MJ Freeway says shops should be creative:
• "Focus your 710 marketing efforts on turning your existing customers into repeat customers. One way to do that is through upselling. For example, create special packaging or offer an attractive price, i.e. 7.10% off all purchases for returning oil customers."
• "Category enthusiasts are buying concentrates regularly. You have to give them a reason to purchase in volume on 710. For example, offer bulk discounts such as buy 3 get 1 for $7.10, or buy 5, get one free."
Most cannabis consumers will probably stay home and watch baseball games with trusty Puffco Peak Pros by their sides. But if you do plan to go out on 7/10, here are a number of events happening around the country.
