'American Pot Story' Documentary Screening at Oaksterdam University's 15th Anniversary Bash
Oaksterdam University's 15th anniversary celebration at Fox Theatre on September 24 will feature the premiere of "American Pot Story: Oaksterdam." The documentary stars Richard Lee, who founded the stony school, and his successor Dale Sky Jones, who steals the film.

Grateful Dead guitarist Jerry Garcia was born on August 1, 1942 and died on August 9, 1995. The nine-day period between Garcia's birth and death is now known as, in Deadhead circles, The Days Between. Here are more than 25 events celebrating Garcia's 80th year.

It took five years for "Cannabis: A Viper Vaudeville!" to get from workshop to New York's La Mama theater stage, and was well worth the wait. The musical, starring Baba Israel and Grace Galu, runs through July.
Dead & Company Cancel July 6 Concert Due to John Mayer's Father's Illness
Dead & Company announced the cancellation of their July 6 concert at Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs, NY. After some rumors went around, John Mayer revealed his 94-year-old father suffered a medical emergency today and that he "can't play tonight's show."
