Written and performed by David Peel, who probably penned more stoner songs than anyone. Featured on his major-label debut, Have a Marijuana, it's based on the 1961 song "Peanut Butter" ("pea-nut, peanut butter" > "mari- marijuana"). Covered by the 360s and Technohead (as "I Wanna Be a Hippie"), both in 1995.
