Two Bulldog footballers caught smoking marijuana in their dorm room on May 15 have been punished by Georgia coach Mark Richt.

Starting sophomore safety Josh Harvey-Clemons was suspended for the SEC champs' opening game vs. Clemson on Aug. 31 and ight end Ty Flournoy-Smith, also a sophomore, was cut from the team.

The RA at Vandiver Hall on the Athens campus called police after he smelled pot coming from Room 303 at the River Road building at 11:30 pm. No marijuana was found in the room, but police reported that the girders "exhibited signs of marijuana ingestion," such as bloodshot eyes. They allegedly admitted smoking a blunt. However, since there was "no physical evidence," no charges were filed.

Police turned the case over to UG's Office of Student Conduct, who informed Richt of the incident.
