10. Kill Your Darlings
Every year there's a film that covers another aspect of the Beat Generation. This one ($879,300) features Daniel Radcliffe in the lead role as Allen Ginsberg, who falls in love with another male student when he arrives at Columbia University in 1943. He pals around with Jack Kerouac (Jack Huston) and William S. Burroughs (Ben Foster), but it's the flamboyant Lucian Carr (Dane Dehaan) who really takes center stage, commititng a murder that marred the nascent literary and cultural movement.
