Echo in the Canyon
Director Andrew Slater and Jakob Dylan take a stroll down memory lane to the mid-’60s when Los Angeles’ Laurel Canyon was home to many of America’s newest rock stars: the Byrds, the Beach Boys, the Mamas and the Papas, Buffalo Springfield, Joni Mitchell, Jackson Browne and more. Dylan conducts interviews (Tom Petty’s comments are highlights) and leads a band of current artists (Beck, Fiona Apple, Regina Spektor, Cat Power) playing renditions of ’60s classics like “Go Where You Wanna Go” and “In My Room.” Netflix
