Hounded by the FBI because of her support for the Black Panther Party in the late ’60s, actress Jean Seberg’s career declined and she was dead by 40. Directed by Benedict Andrews, it stars Kristen Stewart in the title role. Once the FBI gets wind of her extramarital affair with a key Panther, they set up surveillance with the hopes of embarrassing her with scandalous video and photos. It works. Jean unravels as she tries to convince anyone who will listen that her phones are being tapped and she’s being followed.
