One of the most unusual movie premises of the year, Shawn Snyder’s film obsesses over how long it takes for a body to decompose. Actually, it’s a very Orthodox Jew named Schmuel, played by Geza Rohrig, who does the obsessing after his wife dies. Matthew Broderick offers comic relief as frazzled science teacher Albert who reluctantly comes to Schmuel’s aid. Together, they hatch one hairbrained scheme after another.
