In their latest collaboration, Seth Rogen and James Franco play bumbling assassins. Their assignment: Kill Kim Jong-un, the Supreme Leader of North Korea.
Aaron (Rogen) and Dave (Franco) have a TV news show and they score an interview with Kim Jung-un, a la Dennis Rodman. The CIA gets wind of it and asks them to do a service to their country and the world. Rogen and Evan Goldberg directed and wrote The Interview, which opens Dec. 25. North Korea, in turn, has been making veiled threats at everyone involved with the film.
Rogen has promised to screen it in Denver for a weed-smoking crowd. The date is tentatively set for Dec. 8, but a location has not been announced.
Rogen and Franco have previously appeared together in Pineapple Express and This Is the End, and on Freaks and Geeks.
