Fans of 2008's Surfer, Dude will be excited to know that Matthew McConaughey is back looking for waves in The Beach Bum, which will hit theaters on March 29.
It's the story of California surfer Moondoggie, a fictional character who appeared in the Gidget novels, TV show that starred Sally Field and movies featuring Bobby Darren as the iconic surfrider.
Surfer, Dude is about the day the waves stopped. In The Beach Bum, directed by Harmony Korine (Spring Breakers), Moondoggie deals with getting busted while he tries to write his autobiography. It also stars Snoop Dogg, Jonah Hill, Isla Fisher, Zac Efron, Martin Lawrence, Jimmy Buffett and a lot of weed and coke.
